Absolutely loved the story and performance.
The accents where perfect, the history and subject matter fascinating.

An exciting adventure, anticlimactic

Three stars for the descriptive text and character building, essentially the first 3/4 of the book. The last quarter seemed rushed.

Honestly, I could have spent YEARS with Tace as she searched for her sister. I loved the little details throughout the story, the conversations, discovering the intricacies of her relationship with her immediate family, friends and distant relatives, her habits, her day-to-day, her vivid dreams that were the only explicitly supernatural part of this book until the final chapters.

There were pockets towards the end where the book redeemed itself but essentially it felt like the author got to “the bit where they kinda needed to wrap it up” and ran with that.

An exciting adventure while it lasted. For me, the ending was rushed, less descriptive when it really needed to be and (for me) harder to follow. Otherwise an enjoyable read.

LOVED it

Listened as a marathon and a couple of breaks i didn’t want to take. Narrator is phenomenal. Didn’t want it to end and I’m so disappointed this is the author’s only book on Audible. Can’t wait for another!

This story weaves cultural mystery and suspense.

Surprisingly compelling and enjoyable. Not my normal type of read, and couldn't stop listening towards the end!! So definately worth it.
