Far too much plant-based bias for my liking. I was hoping to hear more about the scientific basis of acid in our body from foods but found Dr Daryl giving advice about his personal plant based preferences - A LOT. I'm not a carnivore, nor am I against eating plants, it's just wrong to advise people to do more of one or the other based on preferences. I reference him putting red meat and processed meat in the same sentence when talking about how meat gives you cancer (evidence is epidemiology studies isn't it??) I would agree that processed meats can increase the risk of cancer but unprocessed red meat has healthy fat in it and many essential vitamins and nutrients that are way more bioavailable than plants, it's one of the best foods on the planet when consumed with other healthy unprocessed fruits and vegetables, if he had done unbiased research for this book Dr Daryl should be suggesting to eat more unprocessed red meat. You can't blame red meat for what processed meat and complex processed carbohydrates have done when eaten with the red meat, that's not being scientific then.
I did find the information about all the various types of acid and how they Interact with our bodies fascinating and of value though, I took some knowledge from it, but not all of it is gospel due to his personal biases towards 'plant-based'.
if you disagree with me, yhats fine, just be sure to google 'Bear Grylls' as he also wrote a book and inferred his bias, and see where he stands now...
