Ein Geophysiker namens Rooney kommt ins Büro des Privatdetektivs Bikerman, um ihm über seine angebliche Enkelin Linda zu erzählen. Er verdächtigt ihren Mann, der wie sich später herausstellen sollte Ulan, ein lang gesuchter Verbrecher ist, seine Enkelin um die Ecke bringen zu wollen. Da funkt CAT, Bikermans Supermotorrad, soeben zwei dubiose Gestalten beobachtet zu haben, die gerade einen verdächtigen Koffer auf Rooneys Auto, in dem sich noch Linda befindet, gelegt haben. Tatsächlich kommt es kurze Zeit später zur Explosion und Linda hat knapp davor noch das Fahrzeug verlassen können. Wenig später besucht Linda Bikerman im Büro, doch da beginnt plötzlich das Haus zu brennen...
