I listened to multiple chapters and still was like "okay, but what is gamification marketing"? They kept explaining practical things, how to organise and plan it. Which is good, but I was struggling to understand what the end result looks like, ie is it a game, or just incentivising certain customer reactions in a game-like way?
After watching some YouTube videos of some crystal clear examples, it cleared up all of my questions.
Funnily enough, many of those example are covered in the last handful of chapters in the book. I think leading with those examples would have been a huge help.
