About this listen
In the vicious battle for custody of a four-year-old boy, the stakes are much too high. When a string of coldly casual murders ups the ante still further, Lieutenant Marian Larch steps in. Then the killer starts coming after her and everything she holds dear, and all she can think about is getting back out again - alive.
©1997 Barbara Paul (P)2013 Audible, Inc.I really enjoyed the story which was somewhat different than an average crime story. The main characters are interesting and intriguing and I will now seek out the previous books from this series.
However, I will not be purchasing them from Audible as the narrator is HORRENDOUS. She has little difference in intonation between characters.
Her voice is harsh, her time of sentences is odd, and her pronunciation of fairly normal words in a very strange way.
For instance, she pronounced 'Stringy' as if it were like in 'Stingy' which is just one example.
I looked up her details and she does lots of work, but she receives similar criticism from many readers of other books.
Anyway, the story was good.
Great story, surprise for B7 fans, awful narrator
