Frank Wedekinds (1864–1918) erste gedruckte Publikation "Frühlings Erwachen" (1891) gilt als das Pubertätsdrama schlechthin. Vielfach gespielt, neuerdings sogar als Musical eingerichtet, hat es nichts von seiner Kraft verloren. Drastisch, fast grob wird die Wilhelminische Sexualmoral angegangen. Das Stück ergeht sich nicht in Anspielungen, es ist explizit. Diese Seite der "Kindertragödie" macht jedoch vielfach die poetischen und sentimentalischen Anteile sowie ihre radikale Komik vergessen.
Heribert Kuhn arbeitet in seinem Feature die widersprüchlichen Facetten von Autor und Werk heraus. Kornelia Boje spricht das Feature und ist zusammen mit Hubert Mulzer in einer szenischen Lesung zu hören.
