Publisher's Summary

Broadcaster, writer, philanthroper and one of the first public figures to suggest high-visibility clothing for people manning temporary car parks, the public Alan Partridge is a cherished institution.

But what of the unseen Alan?

For the first time, this famously private man welcomes us into his home and audibly deshrouds himself for a fascinating series of podcasts. Over the course of 18 generously durated episodes, Partridge grants us full and unfettered access to his off-screen life (within reason).

In exchange for a series of payments from Audible, he promises an access-all-areas pass to the nooks and crannies of his hinterland, to reveal a wiser, cleverer, more reflective Alan than many of his more vaunted peers have given him credit for. He then sends the resultant podcasts to Audible ensuring they meet the technical specifications laid down in the contract.

The GOAT

Can I shock you? This could be my favourite series yet. And the others are all amazing. Coogan/Partridge aging like a fine wine. ‘Bang’!…pepper.

Lovely stuff.

I'm writing this review as I sit on a bench looking out over a duck pond. It's strange how watching the ducks is both a serene and harrowing experience, as they fight and bicker amongst each other as much as calmly float on the water. Truly a complex bird.

Prime Alan

Binged the whole thing. Classic Alan. Great listen over a glass of wine. But hey All this wine nonsense! You get all these wine people, don't you? Wine this, wine that. Let's have a bit of red, let's have a bit of white. Ooh, that's a snazzy bouquet. Oh, this smells of, I don't know, basil. Sometimes you just want to say, sod all this wine, just give me a pint of...mineral water

Hilarious

As good or better than the Alan Partridge memoirs. I found the podcast format a slight misfit in the first 10 or so minutes after liatening to the two earlier AP memoirs but after that it really sucked me in and was thoroughly funny and a hilarious storyline. Great stuff from Steve Coogan!

More Partridge is never a bad thing.

Not bad too much jingle other than that an easy listen. I've really enjoyed his audiobooks much more than the show's.

Brilliant!

Alan Partridge is a man of style, determination and intellect. He knows his stuff and, luckily for us, he always seems happy to share his thoughts, ideas and wisdom. What a guy!

Partridge is back!

Another successful journey told brilliantly by Alan as he develops his repertoire into the podcast era.
