Sandra Dünschede wurde 1972 in Nordfriesland geboren. Sie ging zuerst ihrer Bankausbildung nach und widmete sich erst später dem Verfassen von Kurzgeschichten. 2006 erschien ihr Debütroman "Deichgrab". Seitdem folgten einige weitere Kriminalromane.
