Norwegian ex-police officer Anne Bonnevie stumbles upon a photo of her long-lost twin sister who was snatched as a child on a family vacation. The sister now seems to live a luxurious life on Guana Cay in The Bahamas with a famous movie star. Desperate for answers and needing to support herself financially, Anne takes a job at a posh development on the island, leaving behind the man she has grown to care for and his son in Nassau. But her new boss turns out to be a dangerous criminal with numerous illegal operations.
When her best friend Sylvia, who is in prison in Nassau, begs for her help finding one of the other inmates’ missing daughters, Anne bravely takes on the task, uncovering the dark truth about her boss' activities. Racing against time and risking her own safety, Anne must rescue the captive girls before it is too late. Her boss doesn’t like her interference and abandons her on a remote island to fend for herself.
