Watch Will Trent on Disney+

The second gripping Will Trent novel from the No. 1 bestselling author.

When Atlanta housewife Abigail Campano comes home one afternoon, she walks into a nightmare. A broken window, a bloody footprint on the stairs and her teenage daughter lying dead on the landing, a man standing over her with a knife.

The struggle which follows changes Abigail's life forever.

Now, in the relentless heat of a Georgia summer, Special Agent Will Trent must find the brutal killer who has targeted one of Atlanta's wealthiest, most privileged communities - before it's too late...

I enjoyed this book and how the author kept the details relevant but fast paced. The character development of Will and Faith was excellent. The plot was tight and crime while gruesome was not horrific. The villains were unexpected and I enjoyed the ending.

Great novel - fast paced

I really enjoy these books but this is the worst reader I've heard. His female voices ruined this for me. Awful.

Great story, terrible reading.

great story let down by narration. too many characters for just one narrator. I really enjoyed this thrillers storyline and the development of will trent but struggled listening to the reader and his awful female voices but perservered to get through to the end.

great story bad narration

Good Story, the series is getting better, Good characters and linkages. The production of the audio was a bit stuffed up. Cut out in places, weird music & repeated segments in others.

Series getting better but issue with narration

Several readers commented on the performance - one even said lack lustre. I have to disagree - I thought the reader, Phil Gigante, was a genius when it came to the voices for characters. Every character was different and I have to admit I thought there were several different readers at first. When listening to a story, we don't need over-dramatization but to be able to distinguish the voices of different characters is a necessity.
Too many audio stories have a very strong accent (especially, dare I say, American drawl) that it was a pleasure to hear neutrality - well done Phil Gigante.

Disagree with performer comments.

This is overall a good story that kept me interested. Karin Slaughter is usually a good read and this is pretty standard. Good also if you've read Tryptic first to know the characters, but not essential. A solid performance as well, easy to listen to.

Good story, kept me interested
