Publisher's Summary

The only way forward is farther back into an alien past…

Military special operators battling across the multiverse. Present-day fighter pilots thrust into space combat. Both teams waging an all-or-nothing war to reset an altered timeline.

Still trapped decades in the past, Vaughn and his band of military pilots and SAS special operators battle the Necks across the multiverse, now wielding powerful new allies and weapons, but the enemy robots refuse to go peacefully into the night. Attacking dirtside and spaceside simultaneously, both teams fight to flip the fortunes of battle because there's only one answer when the question is them or us.

Fortitude pits advanced alien warships, secret weapons, brave heroes, and a smart-assed battlebot against a mechanized enemy bent on destroying all life.

Critic Reviews

"Like 'The Martian' on (and above) Earth. An epic survival story with very human characters, clever problem-solving and a gripping mystery. The end left me with NO IDEA where Dean was going with the story, I couldn't wait for the next book."—Craig Alanson, New York Times bestselling author of the Expeditionary Force series

Wow just wow

Dean has brought us another book from this awesome series yet again with many cliffhangers, plenty of questions answered from the previous books and now he has left us with way too many more questions that leave us scratching our heads again. His story telling is amazing and each chapter leaves you wanting to read on and find the answers you have been craving for but as a good writer he leaves you hanging out there pondering what will come next and will these story lines be answered in the finial book.
And of course, this will be brought to life when R.C. Bray brings his powerful voice to the audible version.

Loved every other book :(

Truely loved every other book from Dean M Cole but this one wasn’t great. It feels a little drawn out and that events are happening for the sake of happening. I felt it very difficult to reconnect the characters from previous books to this one. Likely because most of them are barely in it and there are many, many new ones. Like, how can Angela barely be in this book? :S

Really hoping Dean closes this series in the next book. It already feels 1 book too long now.
