Publisher's Summary

The world is in chaos. The United States is the last standing government, and it is hanging on by a thread. Billions of people have turned into zombies or have vanished. An elite military team of special forces is tasked to carry out a final mission to try and save humanity.

The team consists of several Special Forces soldiers and an 18-year-old boy that the military believes may be the key to understanding the zombie mystery. The Special Forces team races against the clock from one disaster to another.

David Thompson, the commander of the Special Forces team, is given a mission to prevent a nuclear disaster at a secret underwater base. Due to the chaos in the United States, the base and surrounding area is now abandoned. David and his team have to fight their way to the base and then figure out how to get almost 1,000 feet underwater to where the base is located.

This is the first of three books in the Forces of Destiny: Special Forces and the Zombie Apocalypse series.
