This book was really difficult to get into, it has a lot of abuse in it at the start and I almost stopped listening but it got better and then ended really well. I wished I had read Sam Halls ‘a wolf in sheeps clothing’ first because it’s much gentler
and a great Intro explaining the world and how it works despite being a different series. I would have understood better going into this story and maybe wouldn’t have been so upset with the first half of the book. There are also reoccurring characters from the sheeps clothing story in this one that are further along in their life so that part I loved. Overall it was enjoyable and I am glad I finished it :) i enjoyed the narrator’s too but I am an aussie so maybe a bit biased.

I struggled with the story, didn’t understand the way the main character was being treated but the story evolved and I was in tears often. Nice to be surprised- enjoyed greatly.

I have read this book absolutely loved it and now ive listened to it, and it was just as fantastic! I loved that they were Australian voice actors. The storyline has you hooked for the very start.

I feel terrible for the author that the choice of narrators was so bad. As an Australian myself, I usually love hearing Australians narrate audio books but the male voice grated on my nerves and didn’t fit the characters…everything that he said just made me cringe. I couldn’t listen to more than an hour of it. I’ll have to just purchase the kindle version and read it instead.
