Kiki Pew was notable not just for her wealth and her jewels - she was an ardent fan of the winter White House resident just down the road and a founding member of the Potussies, a group of women dedicated to supporting their president.

Publisher's Summary
Inspector Francis Xavier Flynn, also known as international superspy N. N. 13, returns in this final book of the intelligently written, scintillating series by best-selling author Gregory Mcdonald.
Severely lacking in sleep from a recent bout of marathon investigative work, all Flynn wants is a proper night's rest. Unfortunately, at the early morning summons of his frantic daughter, he's off to the cemetery to rescue her young friend who's in quite a peculiar bind. And as the day progresses, a curious collection of puzzling cases fall into Flynn's lap, each one stranger and more urgent than the last.
As Flynn plunges into harm's way in pursuit of the truth, buried secrets and dark motives come to light as he races to solve each crime and bring these seemingly disconnected matters to a full and complete case closed.

Pretty mediocre
I like the idea of Flynn, I like his family, I like how he is with his family - but really, supporting a guy in nailing a kid's ear to a tree! Forget it - this is just weird and not funny and not noble and not worth it.

Charming, exceptional, character-driven mysteries
This series has it all -- truly exceptionally well written plotting, incredibly addictive characters, fun family vignettes, police procedures, mysteries inside of mysteries, satisfying conclusions, a sprinkling of the most insightful human perspectives, a dash of philosophical adage in an Irish brogue .... and speaking of the narration, five big shiney stars to Donald Corren for the melage of accents, brogue, and New Jersey twangs ... the author and narrator are a perfect match.

Mr. McDonald channels George Will
I used to love these books as a kid, and this was the first I had read in decades. It turns out to be another dumb screed against academia. Mr. McDonald did some deep research -- that is, he read some culture-war screeds in the newspaper -- and is sorry to have to inform us that Universities are teaching our children nothing but relativism and a hatred of "white males."
