This is a superb sleep aid, painting a vivid picture of Florence as if you're right there. I've never been to Florence, but I have listened to this audiobook so many times before bed that I almost feel like I have.
Very soothing narration, interesting information, the only things that disturb falling asleep are the gong sounds (for when to pause the audiobook and walk to some street or other), but of course I realize it wasn't written as a sleep aid, so they're fine.
It would have been great to have just the narration without the gongs though, as I wonder how many other people are using it to fall asleep.
