Great story but dragged on a bit at the end. I do love the characters in this series though

I stuck through to the end as the last quarter was the better part. the majority was just dragged out and very unnecessary. Too much time spent on each lead character's early misunderstanding and reconstructing a reality around this. Just silly as a plot line. even when resolved I just found the story pretty uninteresting. John was most interesting character, particularly for a male lead in this genre, but it wasn't utilised well and couldn't carry the story. waste of time.
