About this listen

Payback is owed.

And Maddie Clayton is going to collect. This time Carlos and Logan have gone too far. People are dead, lives have been changed, and she’s had enough. Plus, she’s got the devil on her side, so when an enemy turns into a friend with an idea of how to take Carlos down, she’s in.

Tyler Morgan has been fighting back his whole adult life. He’s ready for anything when it comes to payback. But endangering Maddie can’t be part of the deal. Unfortunately for him, once Maddie gets an idea in her head, there’s no stopping her.

Her debt has been paid in blood, and she wants revenge.

His fight is still there, but now he’s got more at stake than himself.

The end is coming.

But even if they win against Carlos, they can still lose each other.

this book is the best storyline yet, but I'm back to the hero rambling!!!! it frustrates me no end worse than the 1st one but not as bad as the 2nd book..
I've been ok with the heroines narration but in this one I feel is that she's all over the place wants in, wants out ...repeat....
the flippancy of both characters drives me nuts.....the situation they are written Into is no laughing matter and I agonise over their decisions....I guess I don't get it and I cannot associate with the the hero in this book as I did in the 2nd. and I struggle to understand the heroine when she doesn't stay with her decisions but is extremely mecurial when I thought I perceived her as strong and determined and focused.
so as much as i liked the story, I didn't believe the characters and their total fickle attitude toward a fatal situation.
I'm glad I have a credit as that's book 4....I know I'll get the ramblings of the hero again, especially because it's a about him but I feel like I need to see their ending, their closure.

grrrrrrrr!!!!!

I have really come to love Johnathan's writing, he is funny and poetic and hearing him read it only makes it better. Julie as always, love your storytelling, you are the reason most of us jumped into this series with such enthusiasm. Love hearing Ava again as well, sexy voice without being overly mushy, she is one of my favourite narrators these days.

hilarious and heartbreaking
