About this listen

A hopeless romantic meets a demoralized radio host in this cosy, Sleepless in Seattle inspired love story from fan-favourite author of the LOVELIGHT series, B.K. Borison.

Aiden Valentine has a secret: he’s fallen out of love with love. And as the host of Baltimore’s romance hotline, that’s a bit of a problem. But when a young girl calls in to the station asking for dating advice for her mom, the interview goes viral, thrusting Aiden and Heartstrings into the limelight.

Lucie Stone thought she was doing just fine. She has a good job; an incredible family; and a smart, slightly devious kid. But when all of Baltimore is suddenly scrutinizing her love life—or lack thereof—she begins to question if she’s as happy as she thought. Maybe a little more romance wouldn’t be such a bad thing.

Everyone wants Lucie to find her happy ending. . . even the handsome, temperamental man calling the shots. But when sparks start to fly behind the scenes, Lucie must make the final call between the radio-sponsored happily ever after or the man in the headphones next to her.

In all seriousness this was a really nice story. The main characters were very likeable and I really enjoyed reading a female protagonist that works in a male dominated field. I also loved the family relationships in this book, they were very wholesome. It was a cool and interesting plot from start to finish.

Cute. I know I say this all the time, but sometimes books are just that … cute.
The premise was fun, the whole being on air, exposing your life - a very now kind of thing, putting everything out there. The setting was a step away from the norm, again - cute.
Single mum, golden retriever male, forced proximity, just in it for the fun - oh oops I’m in love. Witty and enjoyable. The relationship with the ex was on point. It was in one wonderfully overused word … cute 🫣

What can I say? ... cute

I love the story and the flirtation and build up. I dislike the male voice for the character. I struggled in the beginning listening to it because of his voice.

Nice romance story

If you’re looking for a cute romance to devour this is the book for you! Highly recommended especially after you’ve potentially read something darker before it.

This is a sweet love story with just a hint of spice. A great book to curl up with a cup of cocoa and listen to.

This book made me giddy. Kick my feet, smiling like crazy, giggling. Gah! Seriously in love with this whole vibe the story brought!

I am obsessed with the banter between these Lucie and Aiden! And their chemistry?! 😮‍💨 The touches, the looks, just all of it and Aiden, Aiden, Aiden. Hot damn. It’s a bit of a slow burn, which I love because the tension just grows and grows until it’s pulled so tight it snaps! It was amazing. They were amazing. I ate up every single interaction between them.

Then there is literally every single other character! I fell in love with them all. I loved how the story flowed and built and it was just seriously beautiful. I don’t know what else to say, but how incredible this book was and I definitely think anyone who loves romance, loved Sleepless in Seattle, grumpy/ sunshine, forced proximity and more will love this one too.

Oh and also, the narrators absolutely fantastic.

Perfection

No notes. I cried when I finished it simply because it was over. This has taken the throne of my favourite book of all time. I was now read every book BK Borison ever publishes. And the performance from these two narrators was absolutely incredible, especially Hathaway Lee. It didn’t feel cringey even once. No awkward story telling voice, just a very normal voice that made me believe she really was Lucie. And E.J. Bingham kinda sounds like Adam Brody so there’s that haha.

My favourite book, maybe ever. Definitely ever, actually.
