Dolly Jamieson is not homeless, she's merely between permanent abodes. The 78-year-old spends her days keeping warm at the local library, where she enjoys sparring with the officious head librarian and helping herself to the free morning tea. It's not so bad, really. But it's certainly a far cry from the 1960s, when this humble girl from Geelong became an international star of the stage. A married couple launch a deadly plan to find their missing child.
A half-dead man washes up on a Los Angeles beach.
A rookie cop is fired on her first day.
Ryan and Elsie Delaney don't accept the official line that their young daughter drowned on Santa Monica beach. Her body has never been found and their pleas for a proper investigation are rejected.

Another great book from this author.
Loved the character development, story had great twists and turns, really good pace. I thought the narrator sounded a bit ‘automated’ at first, but I slowed down the narration speed a little and it was so much better. Hope there will be a sequel to this book as I loved the character interaction.

If you are a fan of Candice Fox, this one is not going to disappoint. Great characters, real and thought provoking storyline and loads of breathtaking twists and turns. The voice actor has done an amazing job to give all of the characters their own personality and I was mesmerised the whole way through. Well done.

Was really enjoyable book. I found some of the narration parts (very few) hard to follow as it was dialogue back and forth but quickly caught up. The twists and turns made you keep listening intently and I was disappointed to finish it so soon. Will be looking for this author/narrator again.
