Publisher's Summary

Magic, shifters, and a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Inheriting a cottage in Ireland seems like a stroke of pure luck to Grace Connolly, as is a chance meeting with her mysterious (and hot) new neighbor. Soon, Boston’s most up-and-coming harpist finds herself mixing business with pleasure and getting to know Finn Hurley - intimately.

But all is not as it seems with the alluring man from next door, nor in the seaside village of Ballyfianna. Magic, shapeshifters, and legendary pots of gold? The surprises don’t end there - not when Grace’s family secrets come to light. Before she knows it, her mini-adventure - and sizzling romance - become a fight between good and evil.

Ruthless enemies are muscling in on Finn’s home turf, and Grace will need more than the luck of the Irish to survive. Does she dare unleash the hidden power within her - a force she’s been warned never to use?

After a decade of military service, dragon shifter Finn Hurley is finally free to track down the elusive beauty he’s secretly loved for years. When he discovers her in his hometown, it seems like destiny is smiling on him. He should have known nothing in life comes easy - especially love.

Because, Ballyfianna is no longer the peaceful, sleepy place it once was, and Grace has unwittingly become involved in its troubles. Bitter enemies from beyond its borders are plotting to seize power, while traitors are conspiring within. But they are all mere puppets to an even more treacherous enemy lurking in the background.

Can this battle-weary warrior defeat evil and finally find his happy ending?

Don't miss Anna Lowe’s Fire Maidens: Billionaires & Bodyguards series! Danger lurks over Europe, where a ruthless dragon clan plots to seize power in the grandest, most glamorous cities. The guardians of old have summoned a new generation of shifter heroes to protect the castles, cathedrals, and cobblestoned streets of their ancestral homes and to seek out the last of the Fire Maidens - women coveted by the dark lords for their royal blood. Those women are absolutely off-limits to the young warriors tasked with protecting them. But destiny, of course, has other ideas!

Grace and Finn

Another great addition to the series! Finn was absolutely awesome in Fire Maidens: Portugal so I am so glad his story is available. Finn and Grace, who is a musician and mixed heritage (which I loved), reunite in Ireland after not seeing each other since they were children. Finn saved her from what could have been a bad accident. Now years later, the same thing happens and they recognize each other. Grace is in Ireland because she inherits a cottage from her uncle just outside of Ballyfianna. Finn is there with his family (he was in Portugal with his friend Marco in the previous book). He was previously in the French Foreign Legion.

Grace and Finn go on a date but end up helping out at the pub when it gets too busy for Annabel to handle by herself. In the pub, there is a magical harp that calls to her. A few days later, Grace wonders on to Reuben’s property. Reuben catches her and argues with her. She steps back too far and tumbles over the cliff. Finn sees this and is forced to shift in order to save her. He hadn’t told her that he was a shifter so this is the first time she knows of it and she panics. It frightened her so much that she was going to run back to the States but decided against it.

Then Finn’s nephew goes missing. The child wondered off and a search party is looking for him. Grace’s necklace led them to the child who was down in a well. The necklace also lit the way so Finn is able to rescue him and get himself back to the surface. It was so rainy that night that Grace invites Finn back to her home to dry off and warm up and things start to heat up.

A lot happens to Grace and Finn before they eventually get their happily ever after. There was also lots of suspense. Ms. Lowe writes great “edge of your seat” as well as romance scenes. Finn was awesome in this book too. He was so patient with Grace.

After Finn and Grace spend the night together and Finn leaves, Grace drives out to follow a rainbow. She ends up in the middle of trouble. Of course, Enzo Lombardi is his usual villainous self along with his goons. That man is nothing but trouble!

The Fire Maidens: Billionaires & Bodyguards is a great series and should not be missed! Each book is about a different couple and Fire Maiden but they tie in together. I love how in the book, you meet the hero for the next book. Also, the covers for these books are great!

Kelsey Osborne, as always, did a great job with the narration. It is always easy to tell if the speaker is male or female. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Fire Maidens: Ireland

Fire Maidens: Ireland is one heck of a story! Book five of the Billionaires and Bodyguards series, it's a fresh new perspective to the series. It has lots of intrigue, interesting characters, and a classic good vs. evil storyline! I loved all the history and relics combined with magic!

Grace has just inherited a cottage in Ireland from her uncle she visited as a child. Going back there brings back tons of great memories-especially ones of Finn. Finn saved her life one day while they were playing in the next door castle ruins and she has never forgot that nor him!

Finn is dumbfounded when the girl from his childhood shows up in Ballyfianna! What are the chances?? He's been searching for her and now it seems destiny has brought her to him.

But Ballyfianna isn't such a sleepy Irish village any longer. There is corruption afoot and the Guardians of Ireland are trying to figure everything out. When Grace arrives to see the cottage, she inadvertently sets off a bid for power from unscrupulous shifter clans that have been wreaking havoc across Europe!

I absolutely loved this book! The story had a different approach from the others in the series and I loved this different perspective! Grace and Finn knew each other and they already shared a bond of sorts, so their trust in one another was totally believable! I love how Anna weaves the story around the different shifters, their Fire Maiden, and magic! This is definitely worth the treat and is now a favorite of mine!

Another Favorite 💖💖💖

I keep saying that each book is a favorite, but it's true. Each location and couple is more fun than the previous. I was looking forward to this book and wasn't disappointed at all. It kept me engaged all day. I'm looking forward to the next installment. Ms. Osborne's performance has completely improved with each book and I look forward to listening to her.

I love Grace and her moxie! She was such a lovely and lively character. I loved that she was biracial and how it played into the story. Finn was adorable! Loved how he interacted with his nephews. His family was fabulous as well. I absolutely loved how the richness of family relationships played into this particular story. It's been a theme in all of Ms. Lowe's books, but this one just seemed to tip the scales a bit more for me.

Disclosure: I received a free copy of the audiobook. I also purchased the Kindle version.

Can destiny strike twice?

I have always loved listening to Anna Lowe's books but this one and hopefully the next will strike close to my personal favorites. I've always been a fan of Ireland and Scotland and seeing them show up in a great authors works really makes me appreciate her more.

Finn Hurley has returned home to help his family even though it pains him a bit to be there. He had both met and lost his mate as a child, so returning makes him remember that loss.

Grace has inherited a cottage in Ballyfianna. She has loved when her family had visited when she was a kid, and always had fond memories of another who had saved her life in the ruins.

The pair run into each other again at the ruins. Finn is surprised of finding his mate back in Ireland and wants to try to keep her there, however Grace has some more pressing concerns back in the states. Grace has been fantasizing about what Finn would look like being grown up, but her imagination is not up to par with Finn in reality. She regret that she will need to be back in the states soon, but hopes that they can enjoy each others company while she is here to deal with the cottage.

Will these two be able to find a way to make their relationship blossom, or will life matter tear them apart?

I loved listening to this book, and not just for the romance in the story. There is action with an imposing clan trying to take over Ballyfianna. Will the Lombardi's be able to finally gain a foothold in Europe, or will they be thwarted again? All sorts of secret lie in wait for Grace, will she be able to handle the truth when it is shown to her?

I did receive a free copy of this audiobook, and I am voluntarily leaving this review. I don't think you will be disappointed in picking up the book.

Great Book

I liked this book. I loved that Grace went back to Ireland and found her best friend from when she was younger. Finn was everything I could want in a mate. These two had a chemistry that I could only dream of having with when I find my mate.

Intense Story

This story started out quite differently than the other stories. First of all, Finn had met his mate when he was ten years old. After he finished his business in Ireland, he was going to America to find her. Surprise! His mate inherited a cottage from her uncle in Ireland & now Finn is her neighbor. This story is really intense, and the danger actually comes from one of their own. The action scenes are really intense and excitement building. Grace finds a magic of her own hidden in the caves of Ireland, changing her view of her entire world. The narrator in this series does not fail in her delivery, making the story that much more enjoyable.

Finn and Grace

Luck of the Irish. Grace has inherited a place in Ballyfianna, but not everyone is happy about this development. Grace has a love of Ireland and the cute boy who saved her life all those years ago.

Finn knows what it's like to have loved and lost, headed home to Ireland on leave, the last person he expects to find is Grace. Beautiful as ever, but destined to leave, Finn knows nothing ever comes easy, except loving Grace.

Full of action, traitors, and those wanting power, Fire Maidens Ireland is an excellent story that follows well within the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy provided by the author.

Old castles and a childhood love

Anna Lowe never fails to provide a great story. I just love the combination of old world and new coming together in this story. A day of fun as children leaves them wondering about what could have been. What happens when they meet again as adults?

Music in the air, shifters and a fight approaching

First off this book is in Ireland, so naturally it gets bonus points. The description of the world blew me away, I was so jealous of Grace. She gets to go to the beautiful Ireland, then she gets fun loving, laid back Finn. The storyline in this book is very different from it's predecessors, for a great many reasons. Finn's family is interesting, but I loved how Finn interacted with them. Honestly there is so much to love about this book, I'd be here all day harping about it. Pun intended. The narrator did an amazing job as always, bringing the characters to life in her unique way. This series is so good, every book brings new characters and some old one's. The storyline for each is all connected but still new and interesting. Anna Lowe really delivers a world you want to jump into, such a talented author who's love of writing shows in her books.

This Fire Maiden is a little bit different …

Fire Maidens: Ireland is the fifth book in the Billionaires and Bodyguards series. This book follows Grace and Finn’s story. The story starts a little bit slower than the others in the series. Grace knows nothing about shifters, but she gets a crash course in them when she returns to Ireland after inheriting a cottage from a distant relative. Finn met Grace briefly when they were children, but he has been secretly in love with her for years, and he can’t believe his luck when he discovers her in Ballyfianna. I don’t want to give too much away, but this Fire Maiden is a little bit different.
As always, there is the danger, excitement and steam that’s always present in Anna Lowe’s books, and the narration was excellent.
I received a free copy of this audiobook from the author, and I'm leaving a voluntary review.

Can Finn and Grace Make Lasting Music Together?

I read this book not long ago and enjoyed it immensely, as I have the whole series, but as soon as the audio became available I couldn't wait to listen to this wonderful story. In this Fire Maidens story, Finn and Grace met once as children when her father came from America to connect with his roots. Their friendship was instant and strong, they bonded over a near-fatal accident which they agreed to keep secret from their parents. Unfortunately, their friendship never got a chance to develop further as she went back to the US almost as soon as they had met.

When Grace's great uncle died he left her his cottage on the outskirts of the village of Ballyfianna. She returned to Ireland to try and find a tenant for the property, a traditional cottage close the ruins of Ballyfianna Castle. Almost as soon as arrived she was drawn to the castle grounds as she walks she thinks about the time she and Finn spent there as children and their shared relief that disaster was avoided that day. Over the years she has thought about Finn often, wondering if he ever thought of her? Fantasizing about the two of them together at whatever age she was at the time!

Finn, a dragon shifter, has known for years that Grace is his mate and vowed that one day he would search for her. Life choices lead him to enlist in the French Foreign Legion but after ten years his term of duty is over and he's back for a quick visit to catch up with his family. Some of his friends from the Legion have met their mates and settled down, he even helped Marco keep his mate safe in Portugal. Is now the time to search for his mate, Grace, the human girl he met so long ago?

The Guardians in Ireland are different from the Guardians we have met before, they are more laid back. His brother-in-law Eamonn, a giant elk shifter is the leader of the Irish Guardians, Finn's dragon shifter family has a longstanding alliance with the Elk clan and several of his relatives are also Guardians including his sister. Eamonn has asked Finn to stay awhile because of some troubles with the Teague wolf pack and the ever-present threat of the Lombardis

Finn takes a walk to the old castle ruins where sees a woman too close to the edge of the cliff in the exact spot Grace almost fell to her death, alas his shouts to warn the woman startle her causing her to nearly fall, when he goes to check on her he realises that it's his Grace!

Grace is a musician, she knows nothing of the shifter world or magic, but she's about to get a rude awakening when she is again in danger and Finn has to show his true self to save her. Just as she's trying to come to terms with the fact that shifters exist she has to face the biggest challenge of her life when she learns that she possesses magic! But will this be enough to save herself, to save the shifters of Ballyfianna? Will the magic of Ireland work to convince her to follow her heart? Will destiny show the girl from Boston and the boy from Ireland that home is wherever they are so long as they are together?

The narration of this book, indeed all the books in this series, is by the wonderfully talented Kelsey Osborne, she does such a great job of bringing the characters to life and making Anna's descriptions of the majestic Irish scenery even more vivid!

I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

Fantastic book and narration

Book 5 in Fire Maiden series by Anna Lowe
Finn is a dragon shifter that finally goes home after growing issues of not having a Fire Maiden in Ireland.
Grace is from Boston and after a great uncle dies and leaves his cottage to her in Ballyfianna. This is a small beautiful village with a very close community.
When Grace comes to village she finds Finn and realises he’s the little kid she played with as a child when visiting her great uncle.
I really like that there a lot more to Grace then just one side of her heritage being possible magic.
Grace talks about both sides of her family her father is from Ireland and her mother’s from Saint Kitts.
I was wondering how the narrator was going to do this one and I was worried it could possibly be a bad Irish accent but I shouldn’t have worried.
Kelsey Osborne is a wonderful narrator, with this book is doesn’t do a accent she just narrators in her own current accent.
I would prefer this rather then doing a terrible fake accent. Absolutely love this storey but it’s definitely improved with the fantastic Kelsey Osborne narration.
