Meh

A lot of talk about football, not too much about mindset. though this was a short listen, I had to stop halfway through. Just a lot of anecdotes. Disappointing.

Optimal outlook logically realized

Optimal ponderables uniting towards the next level. Set in preparations for the next moment. That moment is now, am I prepared? I can be.

Felt like a great conversation

I enjoyed listening to this audiobook and I picked up a lot of great tips. At times, I felt a bit lost in the back and forth of the narrators. The topic of the conversations are stated clearly and explained before each segment and the book was filled with inspiration.

It was free. What would you expect?

I downloaded this title partly because the subject seemed interesting and the authors are well known. But I mainly downloaded it because it was “Included with your Audible membership”…in other words, free.

You get what you pay for. I can’t confirm it, but it sounds like edited clips of conversation from podcasts or other works, loosely strung together. I cannot detect any kind of organization, any sense that it follows a subject outline, or really any main topic at all.

Carroll just rambles on: “I knew we’d have to deal with the Super Bowl loss for a while. People process disappointment differently. It was important to stick with my beliefs.” What? What am I supposed to learn from this?

I think the purpose of this “audiobook” is to drum up interest in some podcast of theirs. However this “production” offers almost nothing. No useful information , no discernible organization, no clear subject. Glad I didn’t spend money on this. Wish I hadn’t spent the time, however.

Awesome Mentality Building Material!

people always talk about looking at the best professional athletes because they are the one the media highlight the most. they are the ones out on the feild scoring the points. Very seldom do we get to hear about what goes into building the athletes and the kind of work that takes place to get those athletes from good to great. The ones who coach the most successful men and women are definitely worth listening to and learning from. This was a really awesome audio book.

always keep your thoughts in the moment!

excellent conversation between the the authors and easy to follow with pauses at key points to absorb them as working knowledge in your life. How to win even when we fail in the moment by remaining in a beginner's mind to life living in curiosity for all things. We must create a vision and create alignment of our hearts, minds, and actions around bringing our vision to the life. Create a space and culture to make winning in all things effortless or remain in the flow.

Pretty good, Some strange messaging

Carroll shines in this Audible original, showcasing his mental performance expertise and perspective.

Dr. Gervais is clearly an authority on the subject, and his enthusiasm comes forward in the extemporaneous chat sections (which are the most engaging parts of the audiobook) but his reading isn’t particularly effective — he reads like a mental performance pro rather than a skilled vocal performer. Dr Gervais also spends significant portions of time reminding audience about his personal perspective on ‘western culture’ relative to mental performance — a perspective of little value in practice of mental performance itself that also doesn’t hold up in the context of world history whatsoever — but he offers plenty valuable information otherwise.

Overall, it’s a meh audiobook.
