Story
A fresh, challenging and compassionate response to busyness, based on the way of life Jesus offered his disciples. Who are you becoming? That was the question nagging pastor and author John Mark Comer. By outward metrics, everything appeared successful. But inwardly, things weren't pretty. So he turned to a trusted mentor for guidance and heard these words: 'Ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life. Hurry is the great enemy of the spiritual life.' It wasn't the response he expected, but it continues to be the answer he needs.

Story
Can't anyone teach me how to pray?"" Millions of people today are asking the same question. There is a sense of the necessity of prayer - we have to pray. But how?' Prayer is central to Christian faith; indeed, as Timothy Keller notes in his introduction, it is the main way we experience deep change. Yet so many people struggle with prayer - a struggle that the author himself has shared. This wise and inspiring book is the fruit of those struggles, offering a real and glorious vision of what it can mean to seek God in prayer.

Story
Do we work to live or live to work? In today's increasingly competitive and insecure economic environment, we often question the reason for work: Why am I doing this? Why is it so hard? And what can I do about it? Work may seem just a means to an end: we do it to earn the money to enjoy life outside the workplace. Here, Timothy Keller argues that God's plan is radically more ambitious: he actually created us to work.

Wow! Great Book!
- By Matthew Hooper on 21-05-2018
Publisher's Summary
If you have struggled personally against the powerful draw of pornography, or if you have ever tried to help someone fighting this battle, you know how hard it is to break free. But real freedom isn't found by trying harder to change. Nor is it found in a particular method or program. Only Jesus Christ has the power to free people from the enslaving power of pornography.
In Finally Free, Dr. Heath Lambert, a leader in the biblical counseling movement, lays out eight gospel-centered strategies for overcoming the deceitful lure of pornography. Each chapter clearly demonstrates how the gospel applies to this particular battle and how Jesus can move listeners from a life of struggle to a life of purity.
If you or someone you care about is fighting this battle, there is good news: No matter how intense or long-standing the struggle, Jesus Christ can, will, and does set people free from the power of pornography.

Good book but...
No emotion. It sounds like it was read by the narrator of Forensic Files.

We need books like this
I’m very thankful to God for delivering me from my chains to pornography. A book like this when I was in middle school may have saved me years of struggle in sin. The gospel is the power of God, and through it we most certainly can receive forgiveness of sins and freedom from temptation.

Biblically solid and a many faceted approach.
Comprehensive. This book approaches this difficult subject from many angles. It goes in depth to not only the causes of pornography addiction but delves deeply into the heart condition it comes from. Most importantly it gets to how victory is achieved by not just practical strategies but how to peruse the heart condition changes necessary for long lasting and meaningful victory. It is a book based on hope.

A clear perspective on Gods priority for your life
This book has provided such a clear and straightforward path for attaining the Holy and pure kind of life that God desires His people to have that anyone who honestly desires change in this area of their life can find it in the truths this book proclaims, since those truths are coming from Gods word and the author repeatedly pulls from scripture. My favorite part of this book was how the chapter on The Arrogant man. I would listen again and probably will buy the book to have as a reference too. The narrators voice did occasionally have me drifting off but overall I felt like the Narrator does a really good job with the book.
