Publisher's Summary

Number one best-selling author Mike Kraus's quarter-million best seller is now available in its definitive edition!

When the end of the world arrived, it came not with a bang, as most expected, but with more of a "pfft" instead.

Humanity has been torn asunder and brought to the edge of total annihilation in less than an hour. For those who died, it was a quick death, so fast that their brains didn't have time to process the pain signals from their nerves. For those who survived, the true horror is about to begin as they struggle to not only stay alive, but come to grips with the shocking realization about what - and who - was responsible.

Final Dawn is a thrilling post-apocalyptic series that follows the journey of four people who survived the end of days.

Leonard McComb - A grizzled veteran of the New York City sanitation department, trapped underground in the city's vast sewer system when the world ended.

Nancy Sims - An accountant, traveling across the plains of the Midwest towards a new job, caught in the middle of nowhere, destruction all around her.

Marcus Warden - A self-made millionaire from New York, vacationing in a national forest of West Virginia when the bombs fell.

Rachel Walsh - A wife and mother whose family is swept away in the blink of an eye, struggling with her loss and the dawning realization of what may have truly transpired to bring about the end of the world.

Final Dawn is a thrilling post-apocalyptic series by long time author Mike Kraus. If you like fast paced action, edge of your seat suspense and impossible odds, you will love this, the Final Dawn Complete series!

awesome book

I cannot fault this book. I enjoyed every minute of it. The storyline and plot was brilliant and it was very easy to get into. I also have to praise the author too if that was him doing all those voices. Fantastic job, especially the russian accents. I thoroughly recommend this to anybody that likes a thriller with a twist to it and apocalytic surroundings. I will be looking out for other titles by this author for sure!

Great Momentum, Action Abound!

What he lacks in finesse as a writer, he makes up for with fast packed action and an interesting story in this series. Having said that I am used to listening to the greats like Wilbur Smith, Robert Galbraith (JK Rowling) and Diana Gabaldon so I am pretty spoilt by outstanding authors. The passion Mike has for the world he creates in his stories is to be commended however he should hire a professional narrator to read his books as his voice is somewhat monotone which detracts from the story and to be honest, it sounds amateurish. Well done Mike, you have every reason to be proud of your work. 👍

soooo bad

probably the worst book ever written by a 12 year old. Don't waste your brain cells trying to understand all the nonsense added by an uneducated moronic writer.

Bad in so many ways

Firstly he should not have narrated his own book. His skill is marginal at best. Making each chapter really short makes it very jerky and hard to follow. The writing is almost acceptable but the story is hackneyed. Early on when I got to where a female protagonist gets hijacked by someone standing in the road I just had to quit.

Very Raw

I enjoyed this series, but it is definitely very raw. You can tell that the author is new to this but I know he will only get better. He created very strong Characters that I hate to see the end of with the end of the series. So hop he will either continue this series or use these characters in another series. My one negative with these books was the extreme amount of cussing, I don’t think it was needed, especially with the Russians as they would not be using the same cuss words as an American would. But even with this I continued to listen. Best of luck in all this authors future endeavors.

childish, poorly red, and poorly written.

I struggled through many hours of this book and I finally given up when I realized I forgot that I could return these things. this is just frustrating period a great premise and some interesting but inconsistently stupid characters and so predictable in terms of the Apocalypse meme. you just know if they're going to toss in a cult group and stuff like that. not original except for the original premise itself.

Story good, narration bad. Leave it to professiona

Author needs to stick to writing. Let professionals do the narrating. Increase chapters to more than a few minutes.

Great characters, great story.

I really enjoyed this series and it gave me plenty of late nights. I only have one suggestion if you undertake an endeavour like this again. You don't have to say written by and narrated by so many times, it became annoying after a while.

I survived...just.

The first part of the trilogy was good, the second was somewhat irrelevant and the third became annoying, which is why I’m giving it 3* overall. Mike Kraus is a good narrator when reading the story but the voice characterisations are pretty dreadful. The female characters are strong, independent, intelligent women, which is a positive but Mike Kraus manages to make them sound like they belong in a Scooby Doo cartoon. Lennard, on the other hand sounds like a cartoon thug. By part 3, I was struggling to continue and this was compounded by the Russian submarine commander leaving an American woman in charge of his submarine. A woman who has no knowledge of nuclear submarines at that. For me, it stretched credulity too far. The addition of all the Russian accents left me struggling. The first part is a good story, although probably better read than listened to. I think it should have ended there since the rest of the trilogy doesn’t really add anything.
