Certainly a tough gig working as a paramedic. The story with the doctor who questioned Lysa aspirating a pneumothorax was awful in that he undermined her as a professional.

Some funny and sad stories taking the listener through what would be an exciting and terrifying job on the road.

I enjoyed this story eith sll the different ones included. it had a great balance of emotion, humour and a bit of everything else told from a genuine first responder. It was interesting to learn about the UK paramedic system as an Australian listener

I couldn’t stop listening to this book.
Lysa’s stories are both heroic, captivating and at times terrifying. I found myself laughing one minute and gasping in shock the next.
With high highs and low lows I found this book to be abit of a roller coaster. A wonderfully written and read book.

This book was very well written and the narrator was well spoken. It's a really good book to educate you about what front line workers can see and how they feel.
Just a warning it is based on true life events of a paramedic based in the UK. She does talk about some hard jobs and death. Some of the things she talks about can be comforting or be a trigger to some.
