About this listen
This is a two part-story of offense and forgiveness in Bugsville. In part one of Feighee’s Drum, Feighee, a predator bug, lures fellow bugs with his enchanted drum. He snares them into his trap, and they disappear, lost to friends and family. This goes on for a while.
Then, a ladybug comes along and outsmarts him. The ladybug entertains her audience with the drumming and beautiful folksong, while taunting Feighee with this performance. As much as he tried, Feighee could not find or capture the ladybug. The frustration causes him to set his drum on fire, and himself in the process.
