Absolutely loved it! Although the topic was such a heart ranching one really! Loved the 2 main characters & could see both of their perspectives all through great writing. And it's so on point how girls/women from that era (my era) we're expected to handle male attention. Thankfully for most of us to a tiny percent of what the characters went through. Very well done!

This is one of Slaughter’s darkest, grimiest novels. It’s really gripping, although you’ll need to suspend disbelief for much of it. Slaughter asks some important questions here, too, about women, feminism, toxic masculinity and the legal system which feeds poor outcomes for those without power. I really liked how she built in the pandemic as something people are living with, without making it a stand out point of distraction. At times this is book is almost poverty/trauma porn but the depth of the characters helps lift it above this.

I really enjoyed this book! I was always wondering what the sisters would do next. I am pleased it ended the way it did and I loved the twists along the way

What a captivating read, I didn’t want to put it down, had me on the edge of my seat The entire time there was an unexpected murder, and the story all t together way to the end just fabulous, 4 1/2 stars, well done Karin Slaughter you are a talented writer!

I never thought much about the addictions to drugs but this story provided the emotion of the character that makes the reader have empathy
I enjoyed the story and the narrators were excellent
