This is really a matter of personal preference. The book is well written in terms of plot.
However I found the sex scenes VERY long and drawn out to the point of boredom. Also the main characters kept breaking into repetitive long gushy declarations of love.
Those who like either a lot of sex, or lot of gush may well enjoy this book but I kept tuning out.
The narrators were both very good, and may be why I persisted to the end.

A generous 4 stars... too gushy and long boring sex scenes.

i adored seeing this version of kyle, he was just so much more vulnerable while being protective and possessive. their backstory was actually devastating and really angered me while breaking me at the same time. sebastian added both emotional moments and lightness to their healing journey. madelyn's strength and resilience, fighting fiercely to protect herself and her child from her ex-husband was truely the best part of the story. seeing her stand up for herself by the end of the story was incredibly moving. it was a joy to see kyle find happiness with someone who truly deserves his affection because the poor kid really suffered.
