Publisher's Summary

She thinks she’s fooled me. But I’ve known all along.

Almost.

Lily is hiding something, a secret so big, she came out of a year-long coma and her first instinct was to lie.

Who does that? Someone who is afraid. No - not afraid.

Terrified. And it’s my job to take that fear away.

My partner and I have spent countless man-hours hunting down the cold-blooded killer who did this to her. Meanwhile, Lily’s spent her waking hours recovering. Getting stronger. Getting smarter.

Staying beautiful.

Never get involved emotionally. That’s my dictate. Never get attached.

When you realize you’re caught in a triangle, it turns out there is no exit.

Crossing a line is easy. Holding a line takes strength.

Lily’s shooter knows that she’s my weakness.

And he’s about to exploit that by breaking a line and escaping, claiming a hostage in the process.

One I have to get back.

No matter what it takes.

Great book series.

The first book was a whirlwind of events. This book cleared up some of the questions. Can't wait for the conclusion in the final book.

so good

I wasn't sure how I felt about the narrator at first, but the more I got into the book, the voice was perfect for the male character. this book was even better than the first. so excited for the third one now. off to download it!

Just as good as the first book to this series!

Before I go any further, be aware, you MUST listen to this series in order! I love that the story continues to build in book two of the False series. Giving some clues away, but not enough to get the whole picture yet. Not your typical romance book, you will quickly get hooked on this series! Highly recommend! As always, excellent narration by Sebastian York!

mind blowing

The evil has been recognized and the tension hits a high note. This series is so addictive! The twists and turns carry me along as questions are answered and others arise.

OMG!!! SO MANY TWISTS AND TURNS!!!

I'm really enjoying this series. The story of Duff and Lily continues as told by Duff. The thrill ride of this series continues. Loved it and moving on to the final book in the trilogy.

First book great then terrible and waste of time.

Wow I tried so so so hard to get past the constant feeling inside duffs head. Non stop redundant and lost track of the story . Shop 13-16 is Duff talking about how he can’t talk about it. Still don’t even know what the hell hes not talking about. 2 books in and still have no idea why lily doesn’t acknowledge her murder. Jesus, this book had amazing potential with the first book. I love Sabastion and tried to listen to the whole thing but damn still Don’t know what the he’ll is going on in this book! Sorry for the rant, but wow what a waste of time!

2d in False Series

I liked the first in this False series, False Memories. I liked the narrator, I was forewarned that it ended suddenly and was ready with this one, the second in the False series. First, new narrator, Sebastian York. I don't usually like male narrators especially for a romance series. I skipped through most of this book because York speaks in a monotone. All voices are the same, although, with a male narrator, trying for female voices is usually a big mistake. I skipped to the end to find the cliffhanger and started the third in the series, False Start. It's a combination of the female narrator from the first book and the male narrator in the 2d book. I hope it makes a difference. I'll write my opinion after I finish this 3d book.

Bad narration

After how incredible the first book was (including the outstanding narration) I was eager to listen to book 2. Wow. What a divergence in quality the narration was on this one. The narrator is, quite frankly, bad. He is incapable of handling accents which sound completely ridiculous and almost laughable. The voice isn’t melodic or pleasant either. It’s brusque and such a low baritone that it’s grating. Why, why, why, did this narrator get chosen to follow up on an A+ presentation in the first book?!? I’m going to grit my teeth and possibly finish the book but it’s going to be torturous. And if the book is in any way a letdown writing-wise, I won’t even bother to do that much. Such a crying shame.

you MUST read these in order--and there are 3

Great story but it isn't complete at the end of the first book, not at the end of the second book. You will need to read all 3 to get the story. It is a good read, and she does this with other series, but it does not stand alone. I'm glad I got this as an Escape so i was able to get the books in order. It is good. It just is a total cliff-hanger.

GASP!!!

A jaw-dropping sequel given in Duff's POV. Plenty of action and romance. With its staggering cliffhanger I can't wait to listen to the concluding story. Would give it 10 stars if possible.
