Publisher's Summary

Sophie and Josette move out of state together, wanting to start a new life where no one knows about their past. The girls are given a cabin deep in the woods by Josette’s late aunt. As the days go on, they begin to grow closer. They even meet a few new friends at school. An investigation begins concerning the disappearance of Kinglsey, Sophie’s exboyfriend. When news hits that his body was discovered, Josette begins to wonder if Sophie was involved. Sophie claims that Kingsley had moved away and that was the last she heard from him. Despite Sophie denying so, Josette starts to believe that Sophie had something to do with his death. Later, she then realizes Sophie’s true intentions on their friendship and tries to leave. Not wanting to lose her best friend, Josette returns home to Sophie. Unknowingly walking into her own demise, she chooses to forgive Sophie. This turns out to be a mistake that will cost Josette her life.
