Publisher's Summary

In the heart-stopping conclusion to Emily R. King’s The Evermore Chronicles, the fate of the seven worlds lies in the courage of a girl on the run--and running out of time.

There’s a price on Everley Donovan’s head. Fleeing from the queen’s false accusation of murder and sorcery, the girl with the clock heart knows there’s only one way to prove her innocence. Everley must catch Killian Markham, the fugitive prince guilty of the crimes for which she’s been condemned. To do that, Everley must follow him into the towering realm of the Silver-Clouded Plain. It’s where flesh-eating behemoths thrive, long-lost gods hide, and an artifact of destructive force awaits the death grip of the immortal prince.

Haunted by visions of burning Everwoods and bloody battlefields, Everley is beset with rising fears. Because the elusive relic threatens more than the very power that drives her clock heart. In Killian’s hands, it can lead to the dismantling of the seven worlds. With everything--and everyone--Everley loves at stake, she must depend on Killian’s one weakness to outwit him: in his mad ambitions, Killian has underestimated her once again. For Everley is the Time Bearer. This is her destiny. The time of reckoning is at hand.

Got tired of being yelled at

I have the whole series and have had to listen to speed rate .75 so that all the harshness and yelling of the main charterer could be tolerable. Made it for about 3 hours listening to this last book and just skipped to the end to see how it wraps up. Who ever had this narrator scream through out the book should not be allowed to perform another book series like this. I have several different books where this narrator Lauren Ezzo doesn't scream like a banshee though out the other books. I would give the performance a minus 1 if I could.

better to read than listen

All three books in this trilogy have a charming heroine and a wonderful cast of characters. My only issue is the narrator. She has a lovely voice and does accents and voices really well but the overdramatization of almost everything she says when in the heroine's character is so bad that I have to turn the volume down because it grates on my nerves so badly. This is probably more the director's fault than hers but either way it's really hard to listen to. Everything else about it is great

With great sacrifice comes greater rewards!

Everly was told she had to lose to win. Jameson was told they had to lose to win. It wasn't until the last few chapters that I understood what that meant. This is such a beautiful story. I am so glad I found this series.

A great fantasy

This series has many twists and adventures with a leading lady at the heart. It is an intense tale of adventure with a tear ending joy to the story. This is a worthy story for the reader of adventure, tragedy, and hard earned victories that were always uncertain in their outcome.

Good Story

I like the story. The problem though is that the reader was really dramatic. It was a little much to take, especially in the third book of the series.

Love the story. Terrible narration.

I'm still early in the book. Love the story. However, the narrator plays Evie as if she is mentally unstable. The narrator oscillate between screeching so loud that I have to turn the volume down and speaking as if she is in utter despair, all within a few moments. Why is this female hero portrayed as emotional and unstable. It is offensive to my sensibilities. I am considering switching back to the book.

Good story with some narration issues

I enjoyed the stories very much. I enjoyed the narration for the most part. There were times when it was quite a bit overly dramatic. But the biggest issue was the volume. It would go from a very even storytelling level, but when it got overly dramatic it would get so loud that I actually had to turn the volume down not to bother my neighbors, which became an issue many times during the three books. Narrator was very good, easy to understand and I like the stories enough to listen to all three books. But it was an issue that detracted severely from the enjoyment overall.

Terrible narration

This audiobook has excessive whining and overly emotional narration. It started to bother me in Book 2, and I reflected that in my review of that book, but Book 3 was over the top. I would never have started the series had I known - fair warning, the narrator makes or breaks an audiobook experience.
