Summary

Don’t bring a kiss to a knife fight.

Roadkill. Violent. Brash. Obsessive. In the closet.

Clyde. Cunning. Ruthless. Biker royalty. Trapped on the other side of the same closet.

Roadkill.
I’ve hated Clyde Turner since the moment I laid eyes on him. I hate him for existing, for tempting me, for being everything I can’t have.

Ice-blue eyes, a cocky smirk that makes my fists itch, a damn Hell’s Butchers MC prince. I want him violently, but since I can’t have him, I will destroy him. I killed his f*cking brother, and he’s next.

When a fire traps us together, death feels inevitable. With no way out and nothing left to lose, we trade confessions like poison-laced promises.

I say I wish I’d f*cked him. Just to break him. Just to see disgust twist his perfect face.

His reply is like a bullet.

“I would have let you…”

Clyde.

I should’ve burned to death in that fire, because now my worst nightmare has come true. Roadkill knows. He knows the secret I’ve spent years burying beneath blood, alcohol, and loyalty to my club.

I have to kill him. There’s no other way.

But a knife fight leads to kisses and a deal struck in the dark. We’ll keep it quiet. No one needs to know. Enemies with benefits, nothing more. A stolen moment here, a touch there, with no strings and no club betrayal.

Until one of us is dead, I’ll let myself fall into his bed, and in the meanwhile, I’ll keep looking for the bastard who killed my brother.

The aftermath.

Nothing stays buried forever. Not secrets, not sins, and certainly not feelings. What starts as a forbidden tryst becomes something deeper. No matter how far we run, the shadows of our clubs and the weight of our hatred threaten to destroy us.

Some things you can’t come back from.

But that doesn’t stop us from one last kiss.
And then, just one more.

“Enemy” is a standalone, steamy, angst-filled M/M dark romance where two sworn enemies from rival motorcycle clubs get entangled in a forbidden love affair.

Clyde Turner is the nephew of the Hell’s Butchers MC President and he hates the Vulture Hollow MC with a passion, especially their Enforcer, Roadkill. After a particularly bloody ballet between the two Clubs leaves Clyde and Road critically injured, the two enemies confess their unexplored attraction to each other, knowing they’re breathing their last breaths. But both survive and Road is determined to explore their secret attraction, even though it means expulsion or death if either Club finds out. As the hatred between the two Clubs starts to boil over once again, Clyde and Road will have to make up their minds exactly who they should be loyal to.

This grisly, steamy, enemies-to-lovers biker romance followed the classic Romeo & Juliet plot, complete with a suicide scene. Both men were violent with multiple murders under their belts and their attraction was mostly physical in the first half of the book as they sneaked out for illicit trysts. While the bloodthirsty action never stopped for long, the romance became a little too sugary for my taste in the second half. But, overall, this was highly entertaining and I came to appreciate both men’s reckless love of mayhem and each other. 🎧 Voice actor Zachary Zaba wouldn’t have spring to mind for a biker romance, but he did a great job, deepening his voice for Road and channeling the love and pain well!

Romeo & Juliet as violent, passionate gay bikers!

I had hoped this would be good and it possibly would have been with another narrator, but it was read at tge breakneck speed of a high school student. No characterisation, very deep voice (not bad in itself) and a sense that punctuation is only a suggestion

That was a no repeat experience
