Story
For years, the monsters who killed my family have held me in a cage. Brutalized and half-starved. Only kept alive so they can steal my blood. Until one evening when four eerily gorgeous men break me out of my prison. They give me a soft bed and delicious food. They say they'll protect me — but their generosity may come at a price. My rescuers are monsters like my captors: fae who shift into wolves. A curse gripping the faerie realm turns them wild under the full moon. Only my blood can cure their rage.

Story
The name's Jesy Gilchrest, and I'm nobody's fairy princess. I'm a cage fighter, pack leader, and all around badass Alpha Fae. They say I've got a little impulse control problem, and they're right about that. I robbed the Vampire King's castle, and it got me thrown into Poison Penitentiary, home of the most bloodthirsty creatures in the Magical Sect. A dark secret haunts this place, clinging to the air like a disease, and in here, everything goes bump in the night. I'm not worried though. Because I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid. I got caught for a reason.

Story
As a wolf shifter growing up in a strong pack, I should be living my best life. But after my father tried to kill our leader, I’m labelled an outcast, traitor, less than dirt. When I can't take pack life any longer, I run, but apparently they don't like losing their punching bag. Torin, the leader’s son, drags me back before my first shift...a shift that will reveal my true mate. I never could have predicted who mine would be, but the moment my wolf looks upon him, I’m filled with hope for a brighter future.

But try to get the jackass Supernatural Enforcers to believe that. The thing is, I can't tell them what I am, because according to the paranormal world, I'm an "abomination" that would need to be killed. So, I have no good excuse for all the crime scene appearances.

It was an ordinary job. Another night, another asshole collector of the supernatural. I free some poor little beasties from their cages, pocket a few trinkets to pay my bills, and burn the place down on my way out. Just call me the Robin Hood of monster emancipation. I didn’t count on three manly monsters following me home like lost puppies. Stunningly hot lost puppies, but still. Now I’ve got a seductively cheeky incubus, a sweetly enthusiastic demon, and a grimly stoic angel camped out in my kitchen.

- By Missy on 19-09-2020
Publisher's Summary
Love can save you...if it doesn't destroy you first.
Gwen has spent her life on the road, picking up and moving every few months when her mother has a mental break. They take care of each other. They don't need anyone else. Or so Gwen believes...until her mother announces she's met a man online.
When they arrive at his opulent home, Gwen is plunged into a world that seems too good to be true. Suddenly she's living in a mansion overlooking the beach and eating foods she's only read about in paperback novels. Her mother's new man has a gorgeous daughter and four irresistible sons who apparently don't mind her complete social incompetence. At last, her dream of going to school and being a normal 16-year-old is within her reach.
But the family they've joined has more than its share of secrets. Not all of them want her there, and her inexplicable attraction to each of them only complicates matters further. When strange phenomena begin to occur in their presence, Gwen must emerge from her protective shell and embrace a destiny she's never imagined.
Contains mature themes.

Pretty good for a start
I quite enjoyed this book. It’s a little bit of a slow burn but it’s realistic which is what I find refreshing. I really like that in the “harem” there will be. F/F relationship too. I reckon it will balance things out. It’s different and refreshing.

Great book
I really liked this audiobook. The story was unique and layered. The characters were real , complex, and distinct from one another. The female reader was great. The male was way over the top exaggerated with the accent, which made it kind of comical at inappropriate times. Once I got used to him it was okay, though. I got really drawn in and wanted to keep reading. It's a "quiet" book that focuses on relationship between the characters. Overall, I would recommend.

Surprisingly Amazing
I don't normally write reviews... I got recommended this book by audible and thought it was gonna be a part for the course reverse harem. It turned out to be really good and I got sucked into the story. So when I saw that it was kinda new with not a lot of reviews i decided to write one to try and get others to give it a shot. I'm really looking forward to book 2!

It had potential but fell short
The foundations of this had the potential to be a good one. You had these siblings who all carried a piece of a god inside them and when they came together they were powerful. Sounds good right! But instead of building on that, the book puts most of its focus on the one brother who’s a jerk and the heroine who’s a complete doormat. Spoiler Alert! They don’t find their missing person. The book ends with the jerk brother finally explaining why he was so rude her. It’s a duma** reason. Don’t waste your credit on this one.

good story but
the story is not that bad but the male narrator totally ruined the story he tried to hard with the voices and the way he did the female voices was awful they should have let the woman do the entire story or found someone else to do the male parts.

Serial not series
The story was workable enough until Gwen stops Xander from pummeling Joaquin; then it took a major leap into Too Stupid To Live territory. In a logical progression, they would have interrogated him. They would have made more of Gwen’s throat being slit; following that, they would have made more of her healing. If healing was common, it would have been mentioned earlier in the story.
And going back, if caterers and florists invaded the house, why did they have the ceremony on a beach they had to drive to, not in the house? Or beach by the house? As a small town, there would absolutely be gawkers watching them on the beach. Why no big gossip at school about mega wave, caterers and florists, or the wedding?
What ending? It just stopped.
Wyles did a decent job of narration. Utah had wierd voices for the characters. Also, even a Midwesterner can tell the difference between Jersey Shore and what should be Cape Cod, or Boston.

It's good.
The book has a good story and uses elements from norse mythology to compose the plot. However, is not an intense book. The story's narrative is very basic. The book has a light mature contente.

Performance and quality is poor
Not great. The performances from the readers is horrible. The girl reader is really bland. The guy is way too over the top especially with the accent. The story line is all over the place. I would not call this a romance or a teen novel. I will not be finishing this book. There really isn't anything special or fun about this book. All the main character does is pine over her step brothers and sister, by the way she is 15. It's weird and uncomfortable to even read. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone. It's a waste of money and/or credit. It really is hard to even describe how not good this book is...

Couldn't finish it
I struggled for a while trying to finish this book and finally gave up. There were many really awkward moments and just awkward writing. I really tried to give it a chance, but I did not like the story, characters, or narrators. Performance would ha even better if it was just the female narrator, she did the female and male voices better than the male narrator. It was also hard to follow the characters talking because the narrator's voices were so different for every every character.

Repeats a lot
Writer spent a lot of time repeating Gwen's life story. How crazy her mom was & taking care of her. How she has to be around the other kids. I felt like 36 chapters should have been reduced to 8-10. Maybe it was a way to stretch the book in to a series.

Story is interesting. Narration is painful
I thought the story topic was new and interesting, but then the male narrator started. UGH Why did he have to do a heavy Boston accent? I would have enjoyed it more if he would have just done a normal narration.

not the best
I liked the FMC in the beginning, she was a young woman dealing with an apparently unstable mother on the run from monsters. when the boys and girl are introduced I could understand her somewhat, suddenly the step daughter of a rich man with hansom brothers and a beautiful sister she was attracted to them all but even at the end she was still acting like a pervert and it got right on my nerves. naivety only goes so far though and she becomes very annoying very fast

A really good listen
I like the storyline of the book and can’t wait to see what happens. I like the depth of the characters. This is the first time listening to a Reverse Harem book set in modern times. I’m normally used to hearing a generic British or American accent. So the male Brooklyn inner monologue voice took a bit of getting used to. But because the characters are so strong, eventually it didn’t matter. It’s a slow burner, with a lot of buildup, tension, mystery and cliffhangers. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is in to this genre.
