Publisher's Summary

WARNING: This is a sexy, steamy reverse harem paranormal romance (one girl, four guys) with loads of humor, plumber puns, and group sex. Read with a glass of wine and a smile!

Four hunky, supernatural plumbers. One reluctant, slightly drunk human. A match made in heaven … or in the bathroom, rather.

My name is Arizona Smoke, and I'm the proud owner of a house haunted by my dead Gram, best friend to a cocktail dress loving werewolf, and apparent soul mate to four plumbers who also happen to be elemental dragons. Besides rippling pectorals, tattoos, and … uh, nice, long pipes, the guys also have control of the elements.

Supernatural law (whoever heard of such a thing anyway?) dictates that since I stumbled upon the guys in their alternate forms, I have to marry them. All four of them. Oh, and apparently one lousy (okay, awesome) night of sex means that I'm an elemental, too—and no amount of magical penicillin can cure this disease.

All I wanted was hot running water and toilets that flushed, but now I'm dealing with monsters lurking in the sewers, supernatural politics, and four penniless (but totally hot) plumbers living in my crumbling old Victorian.

I'm Ari Smoke, wine aficionado, ex-barista, and a girl who is completely out of her element. Having four hot husbands is nice … but the death threats, not so much.

Loved it

It's so refreshing to hear an Aussie accent when listening to this genre of book. Great narration for both male and female parts. 'Kwaussie' author Tate James has added the Aussie element so well, it's relatable to an Australian audience. The story line is captivating, even though I would never normally go for fantasy books. The X scenes were hot although, as other review have mentioned, the plumbing euphemisms and puns did get a bit tiresome. However, they do make light of said puns, so it's tolerable. I found the book funny and enjoyable. I look forward to the next book and will reread this one!

Immature

I had to give it away by Chapter 5 - the juvenile, non-stop plumbing innuendos, abuse of alcohol and profanity was only beat by her chronic stupidity and obsession with sex.
The narrator did a good job, considering the rubbish plot and characters she was given.

Hilarious and Hot

I love this book. It’s fun and sexy and the heroine is relatable in a totally crazy way. Bridie Lawrence should be hired to narrate ALL books that have an Australian heroine.

Not really sexy, it's more Hilarious

I mean, it was a cute, funny, lighthearted book. It was a bit over the top and like, the plumbing references got a bit annoying but still good for some laughs. But yeah definitely not a serious read. I relate to ari a lot as person 😂 I'm Aussie too after all with her views on things, and inner monologue about slut shaming, jealousy and even her love of foxes, I have the exact same mug mentioned at some stage and I really love how the bisexuality aspect of the guys was really embraced and didn't stereotype them or make them any less smoking and masculine. So ridiculous at parts but damn funny.

Good premise falls flat

The idea for this book is great, and I expected it to be a fun listen. But the authors really need an editor! The horrible plumbing jokes were old by the third chapter, the main character can't seem to say a single sentence without swearing and so sounds like a teenager, and the sex scenes, despite including multiple partners, are pretty boring instead of hot. Moreover, the narrator's accent kept slipping between Australian, American, and what sounds like South African, which was really distracting. Most of these problems could have been nipped in the bud by a good editor, and I hope the authors find and use one for any future work.

Liberal/Feminism Contradiction

Would you try another book from C. M. Stunich and Tate James and/or Bridie Lawrence?

Though the story is good, I had a difficult time listening to parts of it due to stupidity

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Remove feminist crap, the way it is written contradicts her actions. We get enough of that in every day life.

What does Bridie Lawrence bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She has a pleasant voice

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Elements of Mischief?

internal dialog, makes me want to smack the main character

Ugh

I gave one star because it would not allow me to give it lower! This book is awful! I could not even finish listening to it.

Hillarious and Filthy in the best possible way

The summary does not give this book due justice. The charecters are unique and hillarious, especially Ari and Brit together. I was laughing so hard at work i was getting funny looks. This is also the first book ever ive actually copied and sent quotes to my friends purely for their hilarity.

Preferred to Read

Very good story. Awkward narration of accents and male voices. A LOT of unnecessary cussing. Almost like a kid saying them just because they're 'bad' words. After a while the plumbing jokes were just too much.
Through all of this I'm still looking forward to the next one.

Hilarious

Listening to this book, actually made me laugh harder than when I just read it. The jokes, the wittiness, the interaction of each character was awesome. Her accent matched what the character depicted. I loved being able to listen while I drove to and from work. The plumber puns got old after a while and so did a few of her comments. Sometimes the H made me want to scream at her and just get out of her own head and back to the story.

Good story. Ok writing. Good narrator

I enjoyed the story, but the writing was a bit rough in some areas. The drinking was a little over the top, and her relentless comments of being a barista grated on my nerves. The puns didn't bother me as much, but they too were overdone. I enjoy both writers, but the overall tone of this was juvenile. Not my favorite of CM Stunich, but I will be continuing with the series. It's still worth a credit.

I want to love this...

I want to love this book I really do, I love both the authors so much and I was so excited that they came together. Good lord, this book is so hard to go through. I get really angry just thinking about it and I keep going back to it trying and hoping to finish but I still have 5 hours to go and I just... can't.

The narrator does a somewhat decent job though her male voices could really do with some work on this piece. Though an Australian women doing an American Southern accent is quite terrible, to be honest.

I just am not sure I can honestly finish this one... and not that it matters to whoever is reading this but that is a rarity for me. I always finish books even if I dislike them, this one is just too much. Maybe at some point, I will finish it by reading/listening to it in very small doses, if I do and the book gets better I will give an updated review.

SOMEWHAT OF A SPOILER (not major points though as you find out fairly quickly):
The book is filled with plumbing puns which were super funny, but as someone else mentioned, after a while the same ones get very very very old. Also, the whole woe is me bs the males lay on thick and Ari should be the one flipping out but the males just get all butthurt when she does. Hello! they totally forced this upon her!! I would do a 300 kick (you know what I am talking about) to all the males and say, "Nope, your manipulative actions caused this and I don't even feel sorry for you."

Don't waste a credit

I tried to finish this book in the hopes it would get better, sadly with 5hrs to go I had to stop.
This book has very little story line; it's the equivalent of a very bad porn movie.
I enjoy a good book with sex scenes, even with multiple partners.
The issue is 5hrs into the book and we still have no real storyline, just lots of bad plumber puns and sex scenes.

Endlessly entertaining!!

This is one of my favourite books to both read and listen to. It has the most wonderful combination of punny humour, steamy sex, blood-pumping action, and heart-wrenching emotion that you can find!
