Publisher's Summary

From USA Today best-selling author Willow Winters comes the epic conclusion to the heart-wrenching, edge-of-your-seat-gripping Hard to Love romantic suspense series.

With her I was always on the highest high. That's why it was so easy to fall.

I never stood a chance without her. The two of us were made for one another. It's as simple as that. The world could try to rip us apart, but it would fail. Until this.

She told me once, love isn't enough. I never would have believed it...until now. Neither of us could have prepared for this.

I won't stop fighting. Not until the very end.

This book is edgy, and sexy and all the things a good dark romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!

Whatt a thrilling ride!

So book four of this series was supposed to wrap up Seth and Laura's journey to happily ever after. What does Willow Winters do? She not only keeps the suspense high, but adds a layer of concern and worry as we as so invested in the lives of these characters! There is no rest for the weary, and these two mount obstacles no couple should have to. Seth is amazing, and no matter what is thrown at him, he finds his way. Laura is a trooper, and knows she has to do what it takes to keep the people she loves together. It's fast paced, gives us a glimpse of past characters we love, and keeps our hearts alive with a little angst, a little fear and a lot of love. As Seth and Laura find their happiness though, Winters leaves us wide open for the next series, and I can't wait to see what she will be giving us next. Joe Arden and Samantha Cook finish out the series as Seth and Laura. I really enjoyed this team, Their voices complimented each other well and they became Seth and Laura. Both are seasoned performers and the additional voices of Jase, Bethany, Cami and others came easily. The story was alive in my mind, just the way a good narration always is. Loved these two together! Teddy Hamilton makes an appearance at the end gearing us up for the next series!

A MULTI-LAYERED PHENOMENAL FINALE

This last book about Seth and Laura’s long rollercoaster romance absolutely flayed me open with its desperate feels and fears.. with its heartbreak and joy.. with its tragedy and hopelessness.. with its secrets and revelations.. with its suspense and drama.. with its undying love, passion and romance and with its well won sweet and beautiful ending. I really wasn't ready to say goodbye to this wonderful couple.. but now it’s Declan’s turn to make a bargain with the mysterious puppet-master Marcus.. and I cannot.. cannot.. cannot wait. Seth, oh Seth my devoted hero.. but you nearly left it too late to say I love you.. so I’m not taking that chance. Willow I love you, I love your skilful author’s mind because you weaved, plotted and paced the perfect rollercoaster romance. I loved your richly described scenes that painted colorful chapters that captivated. I loved the passion and chemistry that ran deep throughout this story.. and Seth and Laura were well-crafted complex characters. I loved how you mixed intrigue, passion, secrets, suspense, mystery, deadly drama, twists and shocks, agonising angst, touching sentiments, pain-filled drama, sweet silver linings and romantic feels in with the love. I also loved Joe and Samantha’s dual POV narration which brought the characters, their emotions and the whole four-part story to life and their narration fit the characters perfectly. And, as I swooned, swayed, steamed, salivated, rioted, raved and reeled my way to Seth and Laura’s HEA, there was even a sweet treat by Teddy at the end too setting the scene for Declan’s story. Worth a credit? Oh boy YES definitely.. it may have taken four books, rocky roads and plenty of curveballs to get there but Seth and Laura were destined soulmates to the end.

Absolutely the best ending!

So when I started listening to this I knew I was in for one hell of a ride. Definitely not as intense as the first 3 in the series but it was expected as this was supposed to wrap up Laura and Seth’s story in a nice little bow. And the bow, was AH-MAZING! I was bawling my eyes out and I know it was mainly due to the perfect narrators bringing the story and emotions to life. A lot of lingering questions are answered but lo and behold Willow throws you off at the very end! I can’t wait to explore this twisted world even further!

I love Willow Winters books!

I love Willow Winters books. I am getting tired of paying a credit for 5 hours. So this slow boring book will be my last. Four installments with little reward.... I am done. Just as a side note... get a good editor who reads the previous books... The timelines and stories DO NOT MATCH... As all the reviewers have noted...

Holy Crap!

Holy crap! This is supposed to be the final book in Seth and Lora‘s story and it ends on a cliffhanger with Marcus and Declan! I don’t even know if there is a book yet and now I have to wait! I am going to go crazy! Seriously, I can’t take it! 🤪 It has to be so sexy and amazing to think that someone would love you so much that they would do anything for you, including being willing to kill someone. It is not that killing someone is okay, it’s just the fact that someone would love you that much to do such an act is what I find incredible. This person is Seth, the ultimate bad boy. Oh, how I’ve grown to love him more and more throughout this series. He is dangerous, ruthless, hot, intimidating, loyal, and so tender. I know he is fictional, but I found myself swooning over him this whole time. Once again, my praise goes out to Joe Arden for the perfect performance for Seth. He has such an amazing voice and was able to articulate the angst that belong to all the situations Seth encountered during his story. You felt the anger, love, sadness, and regret he had been dealing with certain people. Samantha was just as good with her portrayal of Lora, and Teddy Hamilton killed it with Marcus’s voice. I am looking forward to the continuing story. I need to go back and listen to all the other ones. I’m sure every credit I spend will be worth it.

Repetitive, repetitive, repetitive

Ms. Winters can create a good story. In fact, great stories The problem I have had with recent books is the repetitive banter, musings, out loud thoughts that her characters do or say that does nothing to advance the story in a positive way. I find myself skipping over paragraph after paragraph. I actually put the audio on high speed, imagine Donald Duck speaking at a very fast pace, so I could get to an actual section of the story. When an author has to resort to repeat prose just to fill page space - it’s time to move on to a better author. As for Seth’s story - a nice wrap up for the Cross brothers and their trusted friend. The only thing left to do is let Marcus take life with his saga. But, please, please, don’t turn it into a 4 book serial. Seth’s story could have been told in two books; just saying.

❤️Intense, Passionate, & Wonderful MUST READ❤️

HIGHLY RECOMMEND I’ll admit I cried several times. The love, passion, and devotion that both Seth and Laura have for one another is endearing. The selfless sacrifices that each of them do for the other’s happiness is admirable and makes your heart swell. Very well written and leaves you wanting more. Once I started reading I was immediately drawn in and finished in 1 day.

Willow Winters surprised me with the ending to Seth and Laura’s story. Although I expected the dark components to their relationship, at times it was more morbid than expected even if every action was done out of love. The unexpected twists in their relationship prove that love conquers all! Joe Arden, Samantha Cook and Teddy Hamilton are excellent narrators as usual and really increased my enjoyment of this aeries!
