Brian Lumley's Cthulhu Mythos writings began in the 1960s when he was included in new collections by August Derleth's Arkham House. While today, the author is probably better-known for his Necroscope and Psychomech series, he has continued with his Mythos stories for over 40 years. This volume spans that career, using Derleth's suggestion that the Mythos monsters could be viewed as "Elementals", and includes a new novella-length story.

Brian Lumley is without a doubt the greatest author to build on and continue the works of HP Lovecraft. I've read so much of Lumleys mythos stories and I have never been disappointed. One of these stories is literally The Colour out of Space 2...and it's fantastic!!! These stories are read by the great Joshua Saxon, who goes from American to British accents with the skill and talent that I've yet to hear matched by any other voice actor. 10/10 for everything. Love it!!
