Publisher's Summary

Badgelor has been patient, or at least as patient as a homicidal badger can be.

With the celebration of Grebthar Day, it's finally time to go get Charles! Nothing is going to stop Jim and his companions, not even the signs of the Dark Overlord's return. This adventure could be Windfall's greatest yet, or it could be its absolute downfall.

Best of the series.

Still struggling to get over this one, can I have book 5 yet? This book is engaging from beginning to end, full of surprises, tradegy, humour and just so well narrated!

Fecking Amazing!

such an amazing story and narration! i can't wait for the next book, I must have it! the beginning was a bit slow but I honestly I enjoyed the characters development and skill boosting. I love the terribly good jokes, puns; we all need some laughs. the 2nd part of the story and the final battle was epic and the plot thickens!

Phenomenal story again

If you have already listened to the first three books then you know what's in store in this book. A little slow in the beginning but picks up towards the middle and gets better and better until the exciting ending. Already looking forward to book five!

Stellar

I honestly have loved each and every one of these books. They’re fascinating, funny, and the man reading the book does an incredible job of making each character sound unique and distinct. I’m in love with this series and can’t wait for the next book. So. So good.

Unexpected ****Spoilers****

I've basically listened to these back to back. I was caught off guard with the pace of the novel and how quickly facing off with the boss villain came to be. I still don't like Badgelor - It's the voice and the constant swearing - the entire Grebthor Day festivities was filler. The overt sexual references ring hollow and they are more common and directed as the story has progressed - as if what was fun and novel now needs to be enhanced and expanded to get the same satisfaction (the Overall 1 Star). Johnathan McClain does an excellent job of capturing disdain, outrage, and darkness. I will always hear 'Dum Dum' in various tones of shock and . He is top notch at conveying a scene and several times I laughed out loud from his interpretation of the character's words. For me, each of the books sounded like they had a different narrator at the beginning. I was captivated at the end of this one. Based on the ending, I may go in for the fifth, and find out what happens next, especially with the army at the front door.

Where’s the rest?!

I need more of this and stories like this. Well done on all accounts. I hope this series doesn’t go away anytime soon. If it does I hope the Author can produce more like this. Great stuff.

it's like the references were written for me

Seriously, great story and execution, but the thing that puts it over the top for me is that the (nerdy) pop culture references feel like the author grew up with me, experiencing and enjoying the same things as me. I love it.

The Three Stooges of LitRPG

This sequel certainly increased its attempt at humor, and it worked for quite a few portions, not so much for others. One portion of the book was even heavily influenced by the movie Homealone, which made me both roll my eyes and laugh a little. The main character, a demon, and a badger make up The Three Stooges of LitRPG. I would have rated this book a lot lower if it wasn't for the plot twist at the end, which redeemed the overall story. Because of the ending, I'm now looking forward to the sequel, and I'll even put up with the silly d*ck jokes and all their shenanigans.

Another good book about, the Major of Noobtown.

Usually, book series have books that goes up and down, in quality. I am happy that this series has been keeping a good and fun quality, thru the whole series. I am longing for the next book in this series. It's just personal thing, but even if the book is around 13 h long, it still fellt short. I know that writing books is hard, especially good books like this. But I wish that books where atlest 15 h long. The Narrator, as always, does an awesome work, both by the voices of the characters and the narration of the book.

Top Tier

The best book in the series by far. If you enjoyed the others you’ll be sure to enjoy this. The narration by Johnathan is as fantastic as ever and the storyline is the best one yet. I eagerly await what comes next in the series!

Mainly a Christmas special

This book is essentially a long Christmas special you could skip the first 10-12 hours and not miss a single important part of the story it was enjoyable for the last 4 hours or so but before that was just a cheap Christmas tale that has no place in the story I will give credit to the voice actor though he did a very good job with the voices a wide range of characters and he did them very well

bag of laughs and an amazing story

Full belly laughs await you with puns, jokes and many pop culture references. I love this series and love the journey the MC is on. Without spoiling the story, noobtown sees some progression and so to does the side characters. Interesting and unexpected things occur. Jim his badger and devil companion are the best trio anyone could ask for and the narrator does a fab job of bring the world to life!
