About this listen
Read by the author.
Don’t trade your 40-hour workweek for an 80-hour-a-week side hustle.
The promise of entrepreneurship is to create a lifestyle of freedom—but the pursuit often leads to a time-bankrupt life.
If you’re an overworked employee who’s done with the 9-to-5, a serial entrepreneur who has yet to realize the American dream, or a burned-out side hustle owner who’s tired of the grind, this book was written for you.
Passive income expert Brian Page will guide you step-by-step through 38 bite-size chapters that will teach you how to ditch the rat race and enjoy the “passivepreneur” lifestyle.
In Don’t Start a Side Hustle, you will learn how to:
- Trade working your ass off in exchange for hard-working assets.
- Create cash flow from products, services, and properties you don’t own.
- Become an “income producer” instead of an “income earner.”
- Live a lifestyle of freedom by building a passive income empire.
- Follow in Brian’s footsteps as he quit his job and earned a seven-figure automated income—in just 47 days.
This book is filled with true stories that will inspire you to live a life you never knew was possible. If your dream is to live more, work less, and earn an automatic income for you and your family, Don’t Start a Side Hustle is your roadmap.

Good Overview but Unethical Methods

The entire premise to get where he got meant giving up entertainment, which in his words "we don't need", yet continues to construct a story based around free time to do what you want, ie; entertainment. He lives a life being constantly entertained by his own choices and free time.
So while congratulations to him for everything he gave up initially, how the hard road paid off (typically always does), you have contraindicated yourself, multiple times, whilst it may have taken him only a year living off only the basics and working 90 hours a week, fact, parents paid for your education, FACT you were willing to push yourself to burnout to prove a point. What makes that start-up time, less important to a future time, how do you get that time back? Or does that time now become irrelevant because your outcome is desired? As you stated at the beginning, money shouldn't be what defines you, as time is more precious.
Although his selling point is that time is the most rare commodity to have and boasts the "murdering of the alarm clock" as the greatest thing, he's still writing books, reading them, to make a profit. Fact is, he will continue to sell his time for a value, because, we need money to live and if he were that true character and ideal family man he would like us to think he is, then a majority of that money would be spent on the dismal health services in America, the poor schooling system and their homeless situation. FACT he enjoys the millions and the manipulation that comes with telling people without money, how to get money. Pathetic.
