About this listen

In Oregon's timber country, inside a smoky bar, stands proprietor Tory Duncan. Once a hair's breadth from the Miss America crown, she's still just as beautiful and still searching for happiness.

Joe Brigham, a forthright and handsome man from a logging family, divorced, and father of one, regards her with a love deep and pure.

But trading in her search for an uncertain future, no matter the joy Joe promises to provide, seems more than Tory can afford.

loved the story, with the emotionally bruised ex beauty pageant winner now bar owner and the small town Jo.. can they make it work or will Tori remain bitter and Jo remain "small town"??
Listening to Natasha is mostly painful but as long as I speed her up and have a break in between stories it's ok..

loved the story

I listened at 1.3 as the narrator was far too slow for me.
An easy and OK story worth a listen if your expectations are kept in check. No plot twists or anything noteworthy happens, just a pleasant story about life after being in beauty pageants.
