The story doesn't move too quickly but it is the detail and humanity behind it which makes it so captivating.

What does Frances Sternhagen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

The narrator has an unusual voice for an audiobook but as you listen, you'll understand that it is the perfect voice for the story being told.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The reveal at the end, but I won't spoil it for you.

I highly recommend this audiobook. It is a mystery but also human and dramatic - it is just a great story and those will always be relevant and sought out. The characters have many layers to them and it is brilliant writing as you would expect from Stephen King.

One word. Wow. Part of me almost couldn't believe I was reading a Stephen King novel. It's so unique and different but so Stephen King at the same time. The performance by Frances Sternhagen was immaculate. I loved this novel so much, I didn't want it to end.

I had this title sitting in my meagre wish list for ages and just kept overlooking it. Then one day it got downloaded and just like that I was hooked!! Excellent story. Excellent narration. Complete all-round excellence. My only regret was leaving it languishing in my wish list for so long. Don't be like me and procrastinate. Get the very tallented voice of Frances Sternhagen to take you to this most enthralling tale right away!!
