Wonderful story of faith, family and love. Perfect example of raising up children in the way they should go with a God centred moral compass. Raised with compassion for all God’s creatures and strong love and respect for self and family. Shows how everything may not be exactly how you want and certainly not easy but Ms Parton has been smart enough to know that He works all things for good and she is an example of where hard work and belief in something bigger than herself can take you. Well worth listening. (P.S She mentioned Weinstein not Epstein)

As Dolly was the narrater I thought this was great & she has such an interesting life but at times she seemed to ramble & at times it was a hard listen !
But overall I enjoyed it

This wasn’t a typical book with storyline but a collection of Dolly’s thoughts on her life and songwriting. In audio format it worked, as Dolly is a great storyteller but I’m not convinced a written version would. It’s very stream of consciousness and doesn’t follow any sort of storyline but amazing to hear Dolly’s influences in her own words. They include snippets of her songs and she sings in parts too!
