Ron Jones, der "echte" Mr. Ross, sagt in einem Interview mit der Zeitschrift "Scholastic Voice" vom 18.09.1981: "Ich glaube, irgendjemand hätte, gleich als ich mit der Welle begann, aufstehen sollen und sagen: 'Mr. Jones, ich folge Ihnen nicht, ich sage Ihnen, das ist schlecht, was Sie machen.'
