Als sie bei einer Sabotage-Aktion lebensgefährlich verletzt wird und nur eine Notoperation sie retten kann, wechselt sie ihre Betätigung und schmuggelt fortan norwegische Widerstandskämpfer über die Grenze nach Schweden. Auch hier zeigt sie großes Geschick und wird schließlich von einer Spezialeinheit der britischen Armee rekrutiert. Damit gerät sie in die trügerische Welt der Geheimdienste, in der Angst, Gefahr und Bedrohung bald zum ständigen Begleiter werden.
