Kurze Zeit später wird dieser Mann tot aufgefunden - erhängt an der "Judenbuche", dem Fundort der Leiche Aarons. Eingeritzt in die Buche sind die hebräischen Worte: "Wenn du dich diesem Orte nahest, so wird es dir ergehen, wie du mir getan hast". Wer ist der Tote im Baum - und welche Schuld musste er sühnen?
