Die Himmelskönigin, auch heilige Mutter genannt, war bei ihren Lebzeiten eine Jungfrau aus Fukien, namens Lin. Sie war rein, ehrfürchtig und fromm von Art. Als sie siebzehn Jahre alt war, starb sie, ohne verheiratet gewesen zu sein. Sie zeigt ihre Macht auf dem Meere, darum wird sie von den Schiffern fromm verehrt.
