Schon seit über 100 Jahren herrscht Krieg. Nicht, dass der 18-jährige Melvin ihn je gesehen hätte, denn er wohnt schon sein ganzes Leben in einem Bunker. Zumindest so lange, bis man ihn irgendwann zum Kriegsdienst einberiefe. Noch nie ist einer der Soldaten zurückgekehrt. Er gäbe alles darum, um mit Lena und ihrem gemeinsamen Sohn Kim im Bunker alt zu werden.
Eines Tages, mitten in den Nachrichten, schreit der Kriegsberichterstatter plötzlich: "Ich kann das nicht mehr. Alles ist in Ordnung! Sie lügen! Sie..." Und dann bricht das Signal ab.
Ist seine Jugend im Bunker nichts als eine große Lüge?
