The last instalment of this series lacked a little for me. Without spoiling, I thoroughly enjoyed Dexter's interactions with particular characters and the plot had potential but I felt the plot started to veer off course so to speak and the way it ended felt a little lack luster. Its an amazing series and I'm glad I listened to all the books, the second one being my favourite by far, but this one I would probably place as one of my least favourite in the series. The character development was superb and I felt it was better than the plot itself at times, if the two can be separated. Again, absolutely amazing series but this book I would place as one of my least favourites.
