Angel Sinclair doesn't save women. He owns them.
Promise
I haven't spoken in a year. The last words I said out loud… They were a promise to my mother as she lay dying in my arms.
When my silence threatens my father's campaign, he sells me to the city's most feared criminal.
Angel Sinclair.
A psychopath. A soulless killing machine. The Devil of New York.
He's fighting a war to control the city's gritty underworld. I'm just a sacrificial soul in his game of power and corruption.
Except, I've got something the Devil wants. And it isn't the attraction that sizzles between us. It's a secret locked tight between my silent lips. The kind that could change the fates... Or ruin us all.
Angel is the only man strong enough to help me. Which means… I'm about to make a deal with the Devil.

I didn't like Angel at the start, the way he treated Promise had me way off side, his brothers too. I feared I wasn't going to like the men of this new series. However, I did end up enjoying Angel's overall character growth and his softening towards Promise.
By the end, I found myself appreciating that these brothers were incredibly raw and just finding their feet. It was a fresh dynamic.
I have to say, I loved Gunner so much. I almost wanted Promise to be with him! If he became her real love interest midway through, I honestly wouldn't have been upset. I'm really looking forward to his story.
Seeing Killian, Rush, and Mason again was a special treat. I hope we keep seeing more of them.
Promise has a lot to teach Angel and his brothers.
