Publisher's Summary

Peril and passion on enemy seas....

Lottie Livingstone bears the weight of an island on her shoulders. Under threat of losing their home, she and her clan take to the seas to sell a shipload of illegal whiskey. When an attack leaves them vulnerable, she transforms from a maiden daughter to a clever warrior. For survival, she orchestrates the siege of a rival's ship and now holds the devilish Scottish captain Aulay Mackenzie under her command.

Tied, captive, and forced to watch a stunning siren commandeer the Mackenzie ship, Aulay burns with the desire to seize control - of the ship and Lottie. He has resigned himself to a life of solitude on the open seas, but her beauty tantalizes him like nothing has before. As authorities and enemies close in, he is torn between surrendering her to justice and defending her from assailants. He'll lose her forever, unless he's willing to sacrifice the unimaginable....

Highland Romance on the High Seas!

I really love Julia London’s Historical Romance and this one did not disappoint. The lead characters were strong and confident, yet they also had vulnerabilities that made them believable. The endearing secondary characters are pure icing on the cake. I enjoyed this book so much, I listened to all 10+ hours in a little over a day, which is saying something considering I have a full time job where I work 10-12 hours at a time. I can’t wait for the next book in this incredible series!

I Wanted So Much More To The Story

I waited for months for the amazing Derek Perkins' next highlander romance but London's story left me wanting so much more. Derek is a performer not just a narrator. I felt the story lacked any believability and 5 hours in I was fast forwarding.

I wanted to be captured by the story line and the characters, neither happened.

Good Read

Derek Perkins is one of my favorite narrators. Many narrators have mono voices that almost ruin a book. He helps make this an interesting book!

A rich and full story of life and the sea

This is a beautiful story of hardship and loss and challenge. Of overcoming. Of acceptance. And of the rich and full power of love. Almost every character has a challenge to face... to overcome. The narrator did a fine job in portraying both the simplicity and the complexity of life. Beautiful.

Loved it

I just couldn't stop listening to this 4th book of the series. This is the 2nd time I am listening to tip and I am enjoying it even more than the first time. I love Julia London's books because although it's obvious that the hero and heroine are going to end up together, because of all the twists and turns you don't know till the very end how it will happen, so it keeps you on tenterhooks till the very end. I have enjoyed listening to Derek Perkins as the narrator very much. Now onto the next one.
