I was excited about the premise of this story and the idea that Declan was determined to make Simona pay for endangering his family. I was a little disappointed at how it ended up being captured in the book.

There was good 'bad' treatment of Simons initially, but it felt over and done with too quickly. It was like Declan's lust overrode his desire for revenge.

Simona's character seemed quite childish but not in a good way. I did like her strength of character once she was away from Declan and after they reconciled.

The D kink felt like it was just thrown in as filler.

All told, I struggled to finish this one.

I read on Kindle and read along on Audible with good dual style audio.
