Publisher's Summary
Dr. Alexandra Blake is about to give a series of prestigious lectures, but the butterflies in her stomach are for a far more exciting reason.
After the lecture she is meeting up with Dr Jeremy Quinn, esteemed psychologist and dangerous ex-lover - the only person with whom she has ever let her guard down completely. After a few glasses of champagne in his luxurious penthouse suite, Jeremy presents her with an intriguing offer: stay with him for the next 48 hours and accept two extraordinary conditions, the first of which leaves her utterly at his mercy, and he will give her an experience more sensual and extreme than any game they have ever played before.
This scorching novel is an erotic exploration of trust and betrayal, experimentation and control, lust and love.

This Was A Strange One
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I really don't know. The story starts with former college chums meeting up years later at a conference and agreeing to the typical '48 hours under my control bit.'
Then it gets strange...he blindfolds her, then gives her eye drops that blind her-temporarily. Dragging her around the countryside on different 'adventures'.
Then it gets REALLY weird as she agrees to be a part of his depression/sexual sensory experiment.
All the while she has a husband, children and career of her own. Weird.
What do you think your next listen will be?
I just downloaded Lynda Archer's latest and can't wait!
I can tell you I won't continue this Destined series-weird.

Interesting plot and sentual
This was a good listen, good/different plot, well narrated with a bit of an erotic theme. This isn't your typical very explicit graphic erotic writing you could expect with this type of book. However, there was a good balance of intrigue, romance, erotic, and they left this book completely open for a sequel, which I would have quickly downloaded if it was available.

Bored
The story did not catch me at all. The characters were tedious and boring. The narration annoying. Far too much descriptive narrative. I did not finish the book, I made it two thirds through and moved on.
Plus I agree with the other reviewers, the fact that she was married with children took the erotic edge from the story and just made it feel sordid.

A Delightful Change!
Any additional comments?
Wow! At long last, a book that isn't "50" by any other name!
He is well off, but not a billionaire. She isn't a kid, fresh out of school, who falls at his feet.
In fact, she is a wife and mum with a successful career of her own!
The plot line is intriguing, with plenty of surprises along the way.
If one is honest, one might question what she agrees to, but she does, and it makes for an exciting read.
I liked this book a lot; a real page turner!

Destined for another reader
After the hit erotica books that landed on our shelves over the last 18-24 months there were those who rode the wave and for me this is one of them. There are people who may enjoy this audiobook but for me it was lacking and even the overall plot lacked any real fire!!
